Sole Power produced a fantastic late burst of speed to nail South African star Shea Shea in the shadow of the post to land the King's Stand Stakes on the opening day of Royal Ascot in what was a thrilling finish and another win on day one for the Irish.
Christophe Soumillon had looked to have the race won on board the 11/4 favourite Shea Shea, but Johnny Murtagh found a superb late turn of foot near the stands side rail to storm to victory to land the prize at 8/1, whilst Shea Shea finished second with Pearl Secret completing the placings.
